On October 13th the Lloyd Juggernauts volleyball team faced off against the Henry County Wildcats and won in a very lopsided fashion capping off two very talented senior’s careers”, Hannah Wilson and Jasmine Huntley. Both started all four years of their high school careers for Lloyd and have been key parts to Lloyds success. Both agree that them winning the Ludlow Classic their Freshman and Sophomore years’ was their top accomplishment while at Lloyd.
Both are also very talented in the classroom as well with each of them taking college classes this year. Both young ladies plan to further their education, Wilson at Eastern Kentucky University and Huntley still undecided.
In the first set the Juggs started off pretty fast beginning the game up 6-1.
Juggs progressively kept scoring and oppressing the Wildcats with the score later in the set being 17-10 with very good play coming from Wilson, Huntley, and Viox.
Ladies let the Wildcats come back to only being up 21-19 until they finished them off winning the set 25-20 all Juggs.
The second set was not so close. Juggs went up on the Wildcats really fast with the score being 10-1 at the first timeout taken by Henry County.
Juggs kept the pace, it seemed Henry County was very out of sorts and could not compete with the Juggs tonight with the score later in the set being 17-8.
With the Juggs up 20-8 the seniors Wilson and Huntley left the game with a large crowd cheering behind them, a very proper way to go out.
The Juggs finished the game with the final score being 25-12 ALL Juggs.
Good luck to the ladies as they finish the week off with a game against Bishop Brossart Wednesday at home and a game at Carroll County on Thursday. Go out and support our Lady Juggs!
Congratulations to the Seniors on an outstanding career at Lloyd and good luck to them in all of their future endeavors!
