The forecast is set to rain all day but that doesn’t stop the game faces of the Lloyd Memorial football team against Holmes High school.

At the warm-ups the spirit section is already screaming in cheer. All painted in the patriotic red, white, and blue colors.

First down the field in the first quarter goes to Charles Gaines.

It’s a smooth paced game until Junior Justin Durham catches the ball and makes an outstanding touchdown, making the first score go to Lloyd 3 minutes in.

The crowd is pumped and the rain isn’t stopping them as they get riled up after the first touchdown.

A few minutes later Junior Lashunn Townsend takes the ball through half of the field and scored another amazing point for Lloyd.

The spirit section jumps and screams in joy and same with the crowd around them. Holmes seems to take their first time out of the game 7 minutes in and the players and crowd have time to calm down.

It seems as though nothing would happen until the end of the quarter. The score board buzzes and Lloyd is winning with the score is 13-0.

The second quarter comes on strong. One minute in Junior Alex Runion intercepts the ball and ran all the way down the field the make a touchdown. Second quarter has ended and Lloyd is dominating with a score of 19-0.
Half time is at its end and everyone is back in their seats eager to see what happens next.
About half way into the third quarter Holmes is able to steal a point, but this doesn’t slow down the Lloyd players.

Lloyd continues with its amazing lead and at the end of the third quarter the score is 19-6
The rain beats down harder and the fans stay to cheer on their team. Many umbrellas go up as the players are drenched in mud and ready to settle this once and for all.

At the end of the fourth quarter Lloyd wins the game with a score of 27-6. The crowd is ecstatic and overly joyed. Not even the rain can stop the Lloyd Juggernauts.
