Friday the 19th the Juggs defeated Gallatin Co. with a score of 44-12. The players pulled out some great techniques, even enough to break a school record.
The players started off the game with Alex Runion making the first Juggernaut tackle. Lashunn Townshend made a 34-yard touchdown and senior Sergio Gutierrez made the field goal with a first quarter time of 9:24.
Midway through the first quarter, senior Hayden Molitor ran a 42-yard touchdown. Then with 1:55 left in the first, Molitor threw the ball to sophomore Justin Durham making another Juggernaut touchdown.
At the beginning of the second quarter there was a Wildcat handoff to player 31 making their first touchdown, but they were called back due to holding.
Ending the second quarter, Gutierrez kicked a 32-yard field goal at 3:21. Then, he kicked a 49-yard field goal with 45 seconds left in the first half, breaking our school`s record.
The Juggernauts ended the half with 27-0.
At the beginning of the third quarter, Runion received the kickoff return and made a 72-yard touchdown. Then, the Wildcats made a successful touchdown with 4:57 left, but they didn`t receive the two-point conversion.
Durham made another Juggernaut touchdown with 10:12 remaining in the fourth quarter, followed by a field goal from Gutierrez. The final touchdown of the game was made by the Wildcats, ending the score at 44-12. And adding another Juggernaut victory, leaving us at 4-0 moving Lloyd Memorial into the KY AP Top Ten State Rankings. Let`s keep the record going against NCC on the 26th!
